We were trying to figure out what we can do for a date night that would be different than the usual Dinner/Movie thing..... Awhile ago we decided we would get about 8 x 10 size canvas each, grab Cafe Rio and take it to a park somewhere and paint whatever we wanted on it. We dripped, splatted and smashed the paint covered canvass into the grass and needless to say, we Love Them! We actually have them hanging up in our apartment even now lol As we kept looking at them over the past year and how fun that was we decided to go on another adventure! Here we go....
It started at this place...
Where we decided to randomly pick out about 4 paint colors each. Along with our giant canvas! Yes, we were going big this time!
Now it was time for dinner! (Of course without the kids :) )
The plan was to paint the canvas in public! In case you didn't realize, it's still winter. Can't paint outside yet sooooo...... Figured if we got a fast food restaurant that had good food but not going to be interrupting their business we could pull it off! Luckily they weren't too busy. We sat at a table in the corner of the restaurant, ate our yummy food and then had some fun painting!
Oh! Did I mention we were going to paint this beast with Q-Tips? Yep, Pointillism style!
We had no idea what we were going to paint until all the colors were on the table and we started using our imagination, this was really fun seeing this side of my spouse :)
An older fella said, "I didn't see that on the menu! Where can get one of those to eat?!"
I know what you're thinking...How long were you there??
Long enough for Justin to get tired, I was just getting started! ....by the way, that's when we get a bit crazy lol
Ya, we needed a break lol, Bring on the Chick-fil-a shacks!!! :)
Ya, hurry up with those shacks!
Justin found the 3 Q-Tip method! Can you tell he wanted to be done? Lol!
Someone came over to us and asked us how long we've been doing this and where we learned how to paint Lol!
(I was holding the canvas for Justin to take a picture of close up....turned out he was taking a picture of me too lol)
The Finished Project!
